THE RECORDER

Dear Parents:

Our music curriculum in the Shenendehowa School District includes a special unit on the recorder for all children in grades 3 through 6.  (A recorder is a small flute-sounding wind instrument).  The instrument is used to develop literacy (music reading and writing skills) and children’s musicianship. For obvious health reasons, it is necessary for each child to own his/her own instrument. 

The cost of the instrument $5.00.  Please complete the form below and place it in a sealed envelope marked RECORDER with your payment.  You may pay in cash (exact change and no coins please) or make checks payable to Tesago Music Club.  We would appreciate if you would return all orders to your teacher as soon as possible.

Thank you for your assistance.  If your child already owns a recorder, it is not necessary to order a new one. Any questions or concerns may be addressed to either of us by either phone, e-mail or a note sent to the school.
