The Board of Education appoints Ronald (Ron) Agostinoni as the Shenendehowa High School principal.

After an extensive search process, we are pleased to announce that on Tuesday, June 6, Dr. Robinson will recommend to the Board of Education the appointment of Ronald (Ron) Agostinoni as the Shenendehowa High School principal.  Thank you to all who participated in the search process which included a survey of students, staff and parents; three rounds of interviews with administrators, faculty, staff, parents and students; and a site visit.

Mr. Agostinoni has served for the last seven years as the Maple Hill High School principal in the Schodack Central School District, which is recognized as having one of the highest graduation rates in New York.   He began his career in education as a high school social studies teachers and served as the assistant principal and athletic director in the Cairo Durham School District. He completed his undergraduate work and bachelor’s degree  at SUNY Cortland.  He received a master’s degree in Educational Administration from the Jones International University in Colorado and certificates of advanced study from SUNY Oswego.   He holds  permanent certification as a school administrator .

The district is pleased to have him as a part of the leadership team.  He will  assume the leadership role at the high school on July 7  and plans  to spend time with Mr. Flynt and the high school community in the next few weeks.  He currently resides in  Selkirk with his wife  Michelle and their four daughters , Reagan (9), Kailyn (8), Adalyn (3) and Landrie (1) .
