“The superintendent is one of the greatest proponent of students participating in sports and different extra-curricular activities, and firmly believes that no coach or club advisor should ever discourage a student from participating in multiple activities or sports. ” This is from an earlier post. So if this is the position of the superintendent, then why do coaches not allow their players to play to other sports in season? Everyone knows that to stay competitive in Shen you need to play club sports. Club sports overlap with different school sport seasons. By not allowing athletes to play they are forced to become one sport athletes. I understand not allowing them to miss practices or games but if there is not a time conflict they should be allowed to play other sports.
