We’d like to suggest that parents be notified when one of their teachers steps down. We heard about it from our child, but it would certainly be a courtesy if administrators just sent parents a quick email informing them of a change a giving a general assurance of the hiring timeline. The time leading up to the switchover was very disruptive as is the substitute teacher situation (LOTE program). Also, it would be good for a department administrator or the principal to step in and acknowledge the process with the kids. Thanks!

A.  Thank you for your suggestion. While we are limited in what we can share about personnel, and the hiring process, we agree that it is important to keep parents and students as informed as possible. Parents of students who were affected by the change in World Language personnel should watch for more information from their new teacher in the coming days.
