Why is it that we have under qualified bus drivers at the largest school district in the area. My busdriver just caused a collision by rear ending a parked car, if we can’t expect our busdrivers to get out of a parking lot without an accident how can we trust them on the road

A.  Thank you for sharing your concern with us. We do not agree that we have under qualified school bus drivers. School bus drivers receive 27 days of intense training bus in the classroom but more so on the roadway. We are very familiar with the accident you speak to. In this particular situation, and due to the snow volume both on the roadways and in particular in the parking you are referencing, the bus driver had very little maneuver room. The driver is a seasoned veteran, unfortunately he did cause this minor accident after having a clean school bus driving record of over 15 years.

All of our drivers are safety conscious, they do their utmost best to be safe drivers. We do apologize for this accident, it was not intentional, or wanted by any of us especially the driver involved!
