Why is someone who is charged with sexual assault allowed to play on a varsity team? Does this not violate the sports code of conduct?

A.  The district has an extensive code of conduct pertaining to participation in athletics. Any alleged violations of the Code are investigated thoroughly and appropriate actions taken accordingly. A student athlete with a legal charge is not  allowed to play on any sports team until the matter is settled by law enforcement or the courts.   The district acts on evidence, and in the case of a criminal or legal matters, the district acts based upon court proceedings/determinations.
