When an entire class or grade level is asked to quarantine, are they required to have a negative Covid19 test before returning to school? Or are they just being asked to quarantine and monitor for symptoms, and allowed back after the 14 days if no symptoms occur?

A. While in quarantine, they will be monitored for symptoms. If no symptoms occur, they will be allowed back after the 14 days.

If my child who attends school in person were to travel over winter break, would they be able to do virtual learning for the 2 weeks of quarantine, and then come back to in person?

A. At the secondary level, yes. At the elementary level, the in-person classes are separate and distinct from completely virtual classes. If your child attends in person at the elementary level and needs to quarantine, the teacher will provide work for your child to complete until he/she is able to return to school.

Are the schools still collecting used Shen gear? If so, where can items be dropped off? Thanks

What happens when an elementary school student who took part in the backpack program moves on to middle school and then on to high school? Does the program continue or are they eligible for another program?
