POSITION: Building Maintenance Mechanic, 8 hrs/day, 12 mos/yr., 2nd Shift 

RESPONSIBILITIES:      The candidate for this job will possess the following:  Current knowledge and experience of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the maintenance, building repairs and renovations of school facilities. This position is expected to perform tasks related to commercial electrical, wiring and data cabling installations, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and other facility maintenance and repair tasks.

The scope of work will consist of general building maintenance and electrical repairs. Ability to read and interpret plans, diagrams, architectural blueprints and specifications is essential.  Candidate must be self-motivated, detail oriented and a self-starter and assist grounds personnel with snow removal if needed.  Ability to carry out written and oral direction; dependability; good judgment; good physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position. Candidate must be available for both unscheduled and emergency call-in as well as general overtime when necessary.

BENEFITS & SALARY:  Professional working environment, supportive parents and community, salary per the Shenendehowa CSEA collective bargaining agreement, STEP 1 ($23.08/hr) – STEP 5 ($26.88/hr)
