Can the school do something for suicide prevention? School causes so much stress (not just because of COVID) and I don’t see any prevention.

A. All related service providers in the district work with students daily on building upon protective factors and mitigating risk and are trained in risk assessment and crisis response. Suicide prevention is discussed in Health classes. In addition, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) has partnered with Health teachers for classroom activities related to education and prevention. We are continuously encouraging students to talk to an adult they trust.
