Can you work on having some consistency in the way grades are inputed in the Portal? For example, some teachers leave a grade blank, some mark it missing, and some are marking NYL. Is there a difference between these? Is there a guide that teachers and parents can refer to for clear expectations?

A. Teachers are using M = Missing when work has not yet been submitted.  NYL = Not Yet Learned is used when the work submitted does not yet demonstrate proficiency.  Missing grades will convert to NYL if the work is not submitted.
