Congratulations to Isabella Gretzinger who has the historic honor of being the first NYS Girls Wrestling Champion from Shenendehowa. She is a trailblazer for many more talented young ladies to follow.
It was approximately a year ago when Shen’s Athletic Director Chris Culnan approached Superintendent Dr. L. Oliver Robinson about having Shen take the lead on forming a girls wrestling team in the region. Under his leadership, it was kicked in gear and over 20 ambitious young ladies came out.
Congrats to Coach Weeks and all his coaches for turning a thought into a reality and making a reality into a champion.
