Considering that the shen buildings were empty and that there few school bus drivers needed as well as aides and cafeteria staff plus the cost of operating the Buildings and bus’s fleet I would think that there wouLd have been much less costs paid out in March to June. Is this correct? Where did these savings go? Not back to the taxpayers or to reduce the next year’s budget

A. Any savings realized was considered in developing the 2020-2021 budget…keeping taxes as low as possible with anticipated reduction in State Aid upwards of 20%, and significant PPE costs related to COVID-19. Plus, we are focused on preserving the fiscal health of the district for future years, recognizing the grave fiscal realities. Bottom line, the district is taking a tactical and strategic approach, short and long term.
