Hi, I’ve asked this multiple times and haven’t gotten a response, I’m a sophomore and I was wondering if I’m able to take the PSAT 10 instead of the normal PSAT? Should I sign up for a session on collegeboard? Also I’m CVL so how will this work?

A. Shen High School will offer all 10th and 11th graders the chance to take the PSAT/NMQT on January 26th in school. This option will be available to all students including CVL students. We do not offer the PSAT 10 exam at Shen.  The PSAT 10 is the same as the PSAT/NMSQT in terms of subject matter and difficulty, but it’s different from the PSAT/NMSQT in two ways: Students take it in the spring of 10th grade, instead of the fall of 10th or 11th grade. In addition, the PSAT 10 doesn’t qualify students for the National Merit Scholarship Program.
