High School Chromebook collection and/or use for the summer information…

Written by on May 23, 2019

Dear Parents and Guardians:

As you know Shenendehowa High School students were issued district owned Chromebooks as part of the 1:1 instructional technology roll out this school year. At the end of the school year, student devices and chargers will be collected during the last week of classes for students in grade 9-12. However, we do recognize that some students may want to keep their Chromebooks and use them for digital Regents exam review, summer school, AP and Honors course summer assignments, communication with teachers and counselors, access to Naviance and the student portal, etc. Therefore, we will be allowing any grade 9-11 student and parent/guardian who chose to do so to keep their device for the summer. Senior students must return their Chromebooks.

In order to keep a Chromebook for the summer, a parent or guardian must simply fill out and submit the form found at the link below. Paper copies of this form are also available and can be picked up at the main office of HSE or HSW. Signed paper forms can be returned to Mr. Gutchell at High School West or  Mr. LaBarre at High School East. Electronic submissions as well as paper forms to keep Chromebooks are due by Wednesday June 5th. Please see the link below to sign out your student’s Chromebook for the summer months.
