Kathryn is an aspiring actress who turned to Capital Region BOCES Entertainment Technology Program to expand her entertainment industry repertoire while preparing for college.  She started in the program at the beginning of her junior year to learn more about aspects of theater and movies outside of acting. From there, Kathryn has built a solid repertoire of backstage skills – from sound and lighting to rigging – that she can use to advance her career in the industry and beyond. This fall, Kathryn will be attending Russell Sage College and said the Entertainment Tech program has been an all-around uplifting experience.

“I like that I get to spend time with my friends and teachers while doing what I love to do – whether that is performing or working on backstage work,” Kathryn said.  “My classmates encouraged me to go for my dreams but also pushed me to another level that I did not think was possible.”
