I am in awe of how much homework my son has received from Algebra 1 in the 9th grade building. He received a 4 page packet with the questions printed back to back on the papers. I mean seriously, he is a 14 year old kid who should be resting on his 3 day weekend, let alone any normal weekend. He goes to school 5 days a week and only has 2 days off, don’t you think that’s enough? He works on the weekends from 2-7 and participates in sports. Not only that but he has other classes that give him homework that needs to be done. When I asked him how much homework from algebra he normally gets, he said a packet. This is ridiculous, there needs to be a limit set on how much homework a student should get. How is a little 14 year old supposed to balance all of that at such a young age. Teachers clearly don’t take any consideration into the students.

A. Please reach out to your child’s teacher with these concerns. If you believe it violates the policy and regulation on homework, you can contact the principal or academic administrator. Here is the policy and a link to the regulation is at the bottom: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QoHYm3I129DlQk1qvxi6wfV4n-oTScEc7_tzvXYQ59c/view
