I do not have a problem saying the Pledge of Allegiance, however whenever I come to school a little late and we have to say it and I am trying to get where I need to go, I am aggressively yelled at to say it by monitors if i continue walking to homeroom, and I have seen other students being treated the same way. I am a 12th grader in HSE and ever since 9th grade when i was in HSW this has been an issue. I have not addressed this earlier because I did not know how to do so. I saw somebody comment asking if they were forced to say the Pledge of Allegiance or not and the response was no. So therefore, my question is, Are the monitors in the wrong for taking those precautions? If they are, can they please be reprimanded. Thank you

A.  Students are not compelled to say it, verbally, but students are asked not to be disrespectful or distracting during the pledge.
