If elementary kids cannot talk while eating lunch (their ONLY free time after being confined and recess being shortened due to hand washing etc), how are we helping them release energy? I understand protocols, but, they are still kids and only have so much self control. How are they going to socialize? How will this affect my child with high energy??

A. The old adage “Don’t talk with your mouth full” applies here.  When they don’t have food in their mouth, they are welcome to put their mask on and speak freely.
