I’m curious if there are any plans to allow for school plays, live concerts, etc. since sports are now in full-force. Could be just the cast on the stage and livestream the play or just a certain # of audience members, masked & socially-distanced. I understand the arts would have different guidelines than athletics and you absorb these guidelines from the state, but what I’ve seen so far has just made me question this. Science is science. A virus doesn’t know the difference between a sporting event and a school play.

A. The superintendent is discussing those possibilities with other school districts in the region, in an effort to build momentum for advocacy with the Governor and the NYS DOH. The Executive order that currently restricts those activities needs to be changed. The Shen voice is being used to provide more options for students.
