Information regarding quarter four grading during the suspension of onsite classes…

Shenendehowa Families,

Thank you for your ongoing support with online instruction during the suspension of onsite classes. We appreciate the patience shown by all in this transition knowing that students and families have experienced significant changes and challenges to their daily routine.

We appreciate the feedback we received from the recent parent survey. Input has been reviewed and information is being shared with administrators and teachers to strengthen the experience for students. Middle school and high school students recently received a survey asking for their input as well.

We know there are many questions from parents and students about grading for the fourth quarter. This video (https://youtu.be/LU99hacrKk0) provides a brief overview, including the rationale for use of Evidence of Learning (EOL) and Not Yet Learned (NYL) as both individual grades in the gradebook and the overall report card mark for Quarter 4. More information will be forthcoming about the calculation of final grades for the 2019-20 school year.

Thank you again for all you are doing during this time of remote learning.
