Seniors Mattilyn Brender and Jinwook Lee from Mr. Lombardi's Computer Science Discoveries class recently participated in the Launchpad Hackathon sponsored by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. This two day event exposed high school students to workshops and competitive open ended problem solving. The students stated it was their first experience working with Arduino controllers and they found the experience very interesting. The pair was awarded the Bootstrap Award for their collaborative work resulting in both successful coding and professional presentation of their coding project. Both seniors plan to major in Computer Science in college.
