Shenendehowa has been working to obtain the appropriate designation as a Limited Service Laboratory (LSL) to be able to randomly test students and staff for COVID-19.  The district has received that authorization and is planning on starting the testing program this week.
While the district is not mandated to do so by the microcluster testing zone designations established by the state, we have the tests available and plan to use them as a precautionary measure to help mitigate the spread. Individuals (employees and students) that have been randomly selected from the consent list are in the process of being informed and instructions have been provided.
As always, we appreciate the support of staff, parents, students and the community for our efforts to stop the spread.
