Teachers and administrators have been good about providing information about the status of regents exams, but what is the plan for the language checkpoint A & B exams. Will those be given to students this year? And if not will students still receive the credit for high school language that those exams would have provided?

A. A SIS message offering clarification will be coming out shortly to parents of students in Checkpoint A- and B-level world language courses. Checkpoint A and B exams will NOT be administered this year. In lieu of taking the exam, students will be able to earn the credit by passing their current Checkpoint A- or B-level course.
