We are so grateful for the faculty and staff at Chango. However, is it true that staff at were advised to keep the windows closed and recess inside during the start of the school year despite the DOH recommendations to keep windows open? Could this possibly contribute to the cluster at Chango? If this is the case, what are the legal ramifications if someone were to pass away or have permanent conditions due to this decision?

A. That is not the case at all. The protocols exercised at Chango were consistent with all other elementary schools. The timing of when children went out to recess was simply a matter of field preparation logistics.
