We are well into the 21st century. There are many database/communications system options available where Transportation could send text messages to individual parents the status of buses when there are issues, including overall changs such as from a delay to closure. We understand that the weather and road conditions can change from what is expected, but you have got to make a better effort of communicating the impacts and your responses to them. This is not an unreasonable request. Thank you.

A. It is the 21st century…as such, we now have SIS messages, social media, and websites to provide information.  Not like the old days when you had to wait for a school closing to scroll on the television or be announced on the radio. Text services have been researched. They are very expensive for a district our size and quite often have reliability issues.
