The write-in votes for the Board of Education election have been tallied.

  • Robert Pressly, who was on the ballot, is re-elected with 1,544 votes and will serve a full three-year term.
  • Christina Rajotte, who was on the ballot, is re-elected with 1,543 votes and will serve a full three-year term.
  • Gusta Miller, write-in candidate, is elected with 341 write-in votes to serve the two-year term (seat currently held by Bill Casey who will resign as of June 30 with two years remaining on his term).

 

The following people also received write-in votes

  • Julia Tristan – 144
  • Kerensa Rybak – 91
  • Ram Lalukota – 79
  • Steven Cantanzaro – 60
  • Wensheng Hu – 40

There were also quite a number of people who received one vote and a handful that received 2-5 votes.

 

“We appreciate the willingness of residents to commit the time and energy to serving on the board of education,” said Dr. L. Oliver Robinson. “And look forward to continuing to provide a quality education to our students.”

 

The budget, bus proposition and board election results will be certified at the board meeting on May 22.
