How do I find out specifics regarding clubs. Specifically what day does ski club meet (i heard it was on Thursday, but wanted to confirm), and what day and time is sewing club? Is there ski club for each Middle School, if so do they have different days? If so can a student go with another school if the they are unavailable on the day their middle school goes?

A. The same reason why you can’t take out a book from the cafeteria. That is not its purpose.

I have a very hard time believing your answer to this question I would like to try out for team sports . Your response was a cop out. The writer was 100% correct that if any student try’ s out for any SHEN sport they should make the team, More than NOT other schools do not make cuts. They may not be as big as Shen however the ones that are make it so everyone makes the team. All Shen worries about is winning and being at the top of Sec AA. Many parents agree that the Coaches, and athletic Director tell the athletes that :”it is a privilege to play sports for Shen” They need to stop that ,and turn it around to say that it is a privilege for Shen to have so many athletes that want to play for them. SHEN would be nothing without the athletes playing for them,. as a tax payer it is disgusting, remember we pay their salaries. And the athletes that have gotten into trouble off school grounds for one reason or another, some have been able to play while others were immediately kicked off the team, the code of conduct means nothing if you are a star player. The coaches and athletic director need to be held accountable for their poor decisions

Could we ask the students in charge of the Pledge of Allegience to slow down while saying it? Its hard for some students to keep up, especially those with severe learning disabilities.

A. Without knowing what building you are referring to, please make the suggestion to your principal.

Why can’t the Koda tri-building rock climbing club just go to The Edge in Halfmoon? It is so much easier than going all the way to Albany 30 minutes each way.

A quick question regarding gender neutrality taking center stage because once again Shen is all about being up on all things 21st century! Since there will no longer be signs designating “boys” and “girls” bathrooms will it be acceptable and not frowned upon when a male (adult) who happens to need a restroom, opts to identify as a female and uses the girl’s bathroom? How does one know and differentiate between those who are now coming out and identifying and those that are creeeps amount us? Can you say for certain there are no employees with otherwise nefarious pasts and what would prevent someone from simply stating they now identify as the opposite sex? There would be nothing a school could do to prevent them from using the restroom occupied by someone they would be preying upon. Am I saying this exists, no! However, stop jumping to the forefront trying to be “that school” who’s first to do it all and think about the lives you’re messing with! However, since Shen is all about their sports…I’ll sit back and wait for this show because you know it’s coming. This will once again bring the school district to national news…smh

A. This wasn’t a quick question and Shen is not removing signs designating boy and girl restrooms. We continue to have both boy/girl restrooms and gender neutral restrooms. Nothing has changed.
