- Koda Principal, Mrs. Beckett watches students from Mr. Travis’ 8th grade tech class use laser engravers to develop their first project of the new year!

- Twelve students from Acadia, Gowana and Koda were recognized at the SAANYS Leaders Recognizing Leaders breakfast.
- Our middle school robotics team , called the CaptiBytes, received the champions finalist award and placed second overall at the American Robotics Open Championship (AROC)!

- Sixth grade students in Mrs. Deitz’s FACS classes were joined by High School members of the AWOD Club (A World of Difference) to engage in activities and learn about respect, kindness, character, and the damaging effects of stereotypes.
- 8th grade accelerated art students in Jessica Clermont’s Studio in Art class worked hard creating amazing sculptures. Their work in on display in the Gowana library.
- Sixth grade students in Mrs. Deitz’s FACS classes were joined by High School members of the AWOD Club (A World of Difference) to engage in activities and learn about respect, kindness, character, and the damaging effects of stereotypes.
- Mr. Symonds 7th grade technology class felt the first hand effects of electrical current for their electricity unit. The students learn about energy production all the way down to basic house wiring.

Welcome to Acadia Middle School
Acadia is one of three middle schools located on the main campus. It opened in 1953. The three middle schools buildings are attached and share core areas such as gym, libraries, etc., however, they function as separate schools.
Mission:
It is Acadia’s mission to promote mutual respect, to foster an environment which supports and maintains a sense of belonging demonstrated by caring for self and others, to cultivate positive interactions and cooperation among staff, students and parents, to provide a comfortable transition between elementary and middle school years, to motivate all students to reach their learning potential and to operate in accordance with our Code of Conduct. Furthermore, we believe that this kind of environment promotes growth, maturity, success and positive attitudes for everyone involved in our school.
