You are providing Chromebooks for some grades to use at home. That’s nice, but are you also going to pay for internet access so students can use them at home? Internet is expensive!

Hi, I am wondering why the seventh-grade classes haven’t gotten new Chromebooks when the other grades get new Chromebooks and when the Chromebooks the seventh grader’s old ones haven’t worked reliably for the seventh graders last year. And Shen probably has the money for new ones too.

A.  The Chromebooks assigned to current seventh graders were new last year, when the students received them as sixth graders.  If your child’s device is not functioning properly, please ask your child to visit one of the Chromebook Care Centers in the middle school.

A.  Student issued 1:1 Chromebooks are configured to only work with shenschools.org accounts.  A personal gmail account will not work on them.
