What is the point of having to recite the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of every single school day? Also, why would students have to promise their loyalty (pledge allegiance) to this country?

A. By law, all public school students are required to recite the Pledge, facing the flag, hand over heart or saluting if in uniform. If a student or his parent or guardian objects, the student may sit silently or stand quietly.

Are students allowed to use limited profanities such as “d*mn” in the classroom, or if not, at least outside? This is an unfair rule to STRICTLY enforce as the a few high school and even middle school teachers use language outside (and it often becomes a habit that enters the classroom, as well) the classroom.

A.  Students and staff should refrain from profanity at all times while on school grounds.  Staff should address students when they use inappropriate language.

What is the school’s policy on head lice? If the nurse finds lice in a child’s hair are they sent home and rechecked before entering school? Is the class notified that a student in the class has lice? I’ve heard that students have lice and are sent back to class. If this is the case how can you be sure to stop the spread of lice. I realize lice does not spread disease but to treat lice you must submit your child to a pesticide, which is not something a parent wants their child to be exposed to. The “super lice” you have to get prescription with is a heavier dose.
