10/15/21 – How come we have less time for lunch this year than normally? We have 40 minutes of lunch but that also includes the 6 minutes needed to get back to class. Is there a requirement for how long of a lunch break we need? – Student

A. There is not a requirement for lunch. Many schools have 25 or 30 minutes.

10/15/21 – How come we can’t have JCP during 3rd block? If you can trust students to have the ability to freely roam, then you can trust them to not sit in the cafeteria. Students that meet the criteria are likely to have work to do anyways. – Student

A. There is no space for JCP with having to expand lunch seating during Block 3.

10/12/21 – I thought varsity coaches are not allowed to coach at the club level for the same age group they coach at high school? Is this something that is now allowed because there is an absolute conflict of interest! Don’t be fooled thinking there isn’t. The favoritism undeniable. This has been asked before so please give us an accurate response. – Parent

A. Shenendehowa coaches are permitted to be involved with off-season clubs, programs and camps.  

10/12/21 – How much did the Shen School district receive in federal pandemic relief funds and how was or will be spent? – Louis Harth, Community Member

A. Yes, we offer black and white photography as part of our Program of Studies.
