This year’s Unified Physical Education Field Day was Wednesday, May 21st. The UPE classes in Grades 6-12 had a fun filled morning of inclusion as they participated in various physical fitness activities and challenges. Over 120 students were in attendance!

5th Graders had the opportunity to tour the Tri-Building in preparation for the fall. Current Middle Schoolers led them on tours through the buildings and answered any questions they had during a Q&A session in the Gowana Auditorium!

Our middle school robotics team, Data Deleted, recently represented Shen with pride at the American Robotics Open Competition in New Jersey.

Our middle school robotics team, Data Deleted, recently represented Shen with pride at the American Robotics Open Competition in New Jersey. Competing against 48 of the top-performing teams from across the country, this team earned the Core Values Finalist Award, a prestigious honor recognizing excellence in teamwork, collaboration, and community outreach. A huge thank you to our dedicated coaches, George Moloney and Divya Chadalavada, as well as student mentor and Team 20 co-captain, Ryan Cupp, for their leadership and support.

Congrats to FLL Qualifier Champions – Ctrl+Alt+Elite and Data Deleted (click to learn more)!

On January 11, team Ctrl+Alt+Elite (FLL Team #3276) won their qualifier and on January 25, Data Deleted (FLL Team #64570) won their qualifier, resulting in both teams advancing to the Championship tournament on February 8th at RPI. Congrats to both teams!

The Special Olympics invited our Middle School Unified PE students to participate in an activity of reaching out to people that they were thankful for in the area of inclusion. 

The Special Olympics invited our Middle School Unified PE students to participate in an activity of reaching out to people that they were thankful for in the area of inclusion.  Once our students identified those adults in the buildings that helped make inclusion possible for them, they wrote thank you cards, and then delivered them.
