Can someone have a therapy dog in school, if they have severe anxiety and panic attacks? What are the requirements?
A. No, we only allow dogs due to defined and specific ADA requirements….per policy and legal stipulations.
Besides teaching time management, is there any help available for high school or middle school students with anxiety issues? Many students struggle with the same problems, but are not taken seriously by the school.
A. There are plenty of resources. Please speak with your counselor to find out what best meets your needs..
Why isn’t there a traffic light at the high school entrance off Moe road? Every person I talk to, parents and staff alike, feel Is it very dangerous and like the HS parking lot, it’s only a matter of time till someone gets hurt.
A. We do not have the authority to install a traffic light on a state, county or town road.
Why do public schools budgets have to pay for the busing of students to non-public (non Shen schools)? This comes out of taxpayer money for families that choose not to go to Shen schools. That’s over $100,000 is expenses. Why wouldn’t this fall on the family that chooses to go to a private school? Thank you.
A. Because it is the law. While some families send their children to private school, they still pay property and income taxes that fund public schools.
