Congratulations! This year’s high school musical, Anything Goes, was nominated by Proctors Theater in four categories for the 2024 High School Musical Theatre Awards. The production was nominated for Best Ensemble, Best Choreography, Best Pit Orchestra, and Best Musical.

Katie Fittipaldi, an Alexander Technique instructor at the Eastman School of Music, visited all four Shen high school orchestras. Katie worked with the students on incorporating awareness, balance, relaxation and imagination into their playing.

The Business Department held their annual “Shen Speaker Days” event. They hosted 15 dynamic guest speakers from the Capital Region. 

The goal with Shen Speaker Days is to expose students to possible career opportunities and demonstrate that many times careers take time to develop. Students enjoyed hearing advice and stories from professionals that work in various business fields. Through dedicated volunteerism and fundraising, UNICEF club members raised over $1300 for UNICEF USA. These funds will support children in need around the globe.
