I have a teacher that has taken pictures of my class in the middle of class on their personal cellphone more than once, should this be a concern?
A. No. Many teachers are taking pictures of all the exciting things happening in the classroom and sending them to the public information officer to post on the website.
As spring and summer events have started, is there a place on Shenendehowa’s web site that a parent can see exactly what final exam dates are for a student for planning extracurricular activates? We of course don’t want to conflict with any finals testing, however need to plan for events in advance.
A. The High School newsletter will be out soon listing the specific dates.
Can someone have a therapy dog in school, if they have severe anxiety and panic attacks? What are the requirements?
A. No, we only allow dogs due to defined and specific ADA requirements….per policy and legal stipulations.
How many tickets can I buy for graduation?
A. No tickets are needed for graduation.
I lost my student I.D. for the 8th grade semi-formal, but have a ticket, dress and shoes and really want to go. Is there any way I can still go to the dance?
A. Students should go to their counseling office and ask them to print off their summary sheet with their picture on it.
can a little bit of skin be showing for the 8th grade semi? Like an inch?
A. If referring to the midriff, midriffs should be covered.
Do eighth graders who are taking some of their regents have to return to school after the exam? If so, will a bus take them, or do their parents have to take them over? All of the students most likely will not finish at the same time, so that is why I am unsure. I do think that if they have to return to school, that it would be unfair considering that high school students get the rest of the day off after regents exams.
A. A shuttle bus will provide transportation for MS students to return from HSE to the Middle School during Regents Week.
Before getting on the bus home, my daughter lost her calculator after being pushed down a hill of snow. What is the lost and found contact info for High School East?
A. Lost and found is in the CAPs Office at HSE.
