how come Karigon is not allowed to play tag, go on the playground without sneakers, play soccer or do flips on the bars?

A. Anytime school implements certain rules for playground activities, it is typically to improve the safety of students.

What will Shen do to further protect the safety of our children? I know some schools have placed metal detectors, I was wondering if we will be implementing metal detectors in the future?

A. Over the years, Shenendehowa has implemented a number of initiatives to improve safety including ID badges, buzz-in systems, video surveillance, drills and much more. There are no plans to implement metal detectors.

Where can I apply for working papers?

A. No, just a skill requirement.

A. That is for district-provided tutors (i.e. for suspensions). We do not provide list of tutors for parents to pay for extra support.

When it comes to the track, how many laps in each respective lane equates to 1 mile? Obviously, more laps are required for the inside and less for the outside. Thanks :)

A. Four laps is a mile.

In order for me to get the correct amount of sleep for my body, i would have to go to bed an hour before i get home. and that leaves no time for me to do the buckets of homework that we’re assigned every night. if you look around at the students, it will be difficult to find one who doesnt have dark circles under their eyes.

A. High schoolers also need time after school for homework, extracurriculars, sports, work, etc.

How long is graduation going to take

A. It typically takes approximately 2 – 2 1/2 hours.

Are there make up or alternative dates for finals?

A.  That may be able to be arranged with individual teachers.

I was wondering how much the Graduation Tickets are, I would like everyone to know for when they come! THANKS!

Typically, the amphitheater, both upstairs and downstairs is at capacity of 5,200, and a good portion of the lawn near the theatre is used as overflow. Seats are on a first come, first serve basis.  Information about graduation is posted on this […]
