Karigon Elementary
Mrs. Hurst’s 1st Graders at Karigon took advantage of an October sunny day to have an outdoor science lesson about the effects of UV sunlight.
Karigon School Resource Officer Deputy Martin visited our afternoon kindergarten classes to highlight the importance of police helpers in our community. The students had the opportunity to ask questions, become more familiar with our school resource officer, and try out the siren and horn on his car too!
Karigon’s Bucket Filling Week included Tie Dye Day to remind us that, just like the colors in tie-dye, kindness connects us all!

Interim Superintendent Dr. Wilson-Turner and members from the Board of Education joined in the first day of school excitement and toured all of our schools today.
Shenendehowa seniors and Karigon alumni, Sophia Spiegel and Ana Adams, complete their final Girl Scout service project by donating supplies to the Karigon Health Office during their senior walkthrough. Thank you to Girl Scout Troop #2058 for your generosity and commitment to your community.
First graders at Karigon had a fantastic time celebrating the end of the school year with their annual Camp Karigon! The school grounds were filled with laughter as students played fun games and enjoyed activities with their friends. Camp Karigon was a special day to remember, filled with friendship and fun!
Karigon held its last Best Buddies event of the 2025-26 school year. Students had a ball spending time together doing crafts, dancing, rock climbing and enjoying some sweet treats together. Best Buddies International is an organization that promotes building one-on-one relationships, and we have a thriving community of support and inclusion here at Karigon!
Karigon held their 2025 Literacy Night and Ice Cream Social where students and families came together to celebrate reading.

Welcome to Karigon Elementary School
Karigon is one of four K-5 elementary schools located on the main campus. It is connected to Orenda Elementary School sharing a cafeteria/auditorium. It opened in 1968.

School starts at 8:05 a.m.
AM Kindergarten dismissed at 10:40 a.m.
PM Kindergarten starts at 11:40 a.m.
School is dismissed at 2:15 p.m.
Half day dismissal at 11:15 a.m.
