Re: Okte School Closure – Friday, March 4, 2022
First and foremost I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Okte staff and families for their cooperation today after the water main break. We appreciate the dedication of the Clifton Park Town Water Department in keeping us informed as to the status of the repair.
Due to the current status of the repair and the boil water advisory issued by the NYS Department of Health until Saturday, March 5th, and the potential impact on Okte Elementary School, we are making the decision out of an abundance of caution to close Okte, tomorrow, Friday, March 4, 2022.
A closure tomorrow will allow us to properly flush out the water system and sanitize the appropriate areas of the building for a safe return on Monday.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and patience as we worked through this issue.
