Four seniors from the National Art Honor Society painted a cedar tree on a large canvas for the Student Center.
They chose a cedar tree because of the traits of cedar wood: it bends without breaking, adapts to change, endures harsh conditions and is long-lasting, its beauty comes in many hues, it blocks out noise, it is tough and durable, but also evolves and changes. It is a great symbol for students, faculty and staff!
The students are: Nitika Menon, Casey Gao, Kimaya Oke and Sophie Lun. It is quite impressive that they collaborated on one piece and created a cohesive product!
Teacher, Lisa David, was a great support of NAHS and this project!![](https://www.shenet.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/IMG_9593-768x1024.jpg)
