
A. Yes, that is allowed. You just can’t be forced to say the pledge.
You are here: Home » » News » At HSE every once in awhile when I’m running late for homeroom and the pledge starts, monitors will force me to stop walking and stand until the pledge is completed. Considering that district policy and New York State law both state that students do not have to participate in the pledge of allegiance, shouldn’t this not be allowed?
A. Yes, that is allowed. You just can’t be forced to say the pledge.
