For those of you who received CareStart COVID-19 Antigen Home Test Kits from the district, we just received notification surrounding their expiration dates. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was reviewing these tests to determine their efficacy for an additional 90 days.
The purpose of this communication is to inform you that the FDA granted the extension, and the CareStart at-home kits with a printed expiration date of January 2022 now have an extended shelf life through April 30, 2022. Complete information is available from the manufacturer on their website.
Please continue to prioritize these test kits to support testing at home as we continue to make headway against the winter surge.
