A. The district does not conduct auction of buses. We submit our buses which are to be removed from the operating bus fleet and have Auctioninternation.com auction the buses for us. According to BOE policy 3145, the district/school/classroom internet-based communications must relate to curriculum or instructional matters, school authorized activities, or general information of interest to the public pertaining to the District or its schools. With that being said, the conversational nature of social media at times can make things more complicated and we have had situations where the district has asked that something be taken down or clarified.
In the case of the Tweet related to anonymous complaints, the matter was addressed and the Tweet was taken down. Some of reaction by the public and the frustration displayed by the representative of the athletic department, speaks to the need for all of us to be mindful of the larger purpose of modeling proper decorum for our students. The district has been and will continue to be open to hear from the community, that is why the Grapevine was created.
can you still graduate advanced regents even if you fail the checkpoint b exam?
August 9th, 2019 by kelly.defecianiA. There are multiple ways to earn a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation, including earning a three-credit sequence in a world language. This would require you to pass the Checkpoint B exam. However, you can also earn this diploma with sequences in another area, such as fine arts, business, technology, etc. For specific information on the requirements, please contact your counselor.

We missed out signing up for the summer driver’s ed program. Could someone please explain how the fall driver’s ed program works (like what time has it generally been (before or after school) and what days)? Thank you.

The details are typically posted on the Driver Ed web page for the fall program in August and registration is usually the last 2 weeks in August. The fall program runs from September through mid-January. The fall program usually includes 2 different weekdays or a Saturday session to choose from. All of the specifics for the upcoming program will be included on the registration form.

My daughter is entering 9th grade. The School Supply list references needing the TI-84 Plus or the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition Graphing Calculator. Can the students also have the TI-84 CE Graphing Calculator? “CE” stands for Color Enhancement and this calculator is approved for the SAT, ACT and AP classes. Can this calculator be used in all high school classes? I don’t want to buy it and then have a problem after the fact. Thanks!
